Celebrating a David Hunt Trust Award at Ham Manor Golf Club

It was a memorable afternoon for all involved as the David Hunt Trust hosted its annual award ceremony at the elegant Ham Manor Golf Club.

Ham Manor Golf Club offered the perfect setting for the occasion, creating an atmosphere that felt both celebratory and deeply supportive.

Inside, nominees, trustees, supporters, and community members gathered to recognise the tremendous work happening across the region. Conversations filled the room, each one reflecting passion for service and gratitude for the impact being made.

A Moment to Reflect

Our award which gives us an opportunity to employ a Youth Worker in our High School Hang Out room at our Grief Play Cafe, highlighted the collective effort behind meaningful community work by collaborating with Electric Storm Youth. Grief can be lonely, especially for teenagers who often worry about being different or “standing out” among their peers. A youth worker helps create an environment where young people feel comfortable connecting with others who understand what they’re going through.

Being recognised by the David Hunt Trust, an organisation known for championing community-led projects, made the honour of receiving the award even more impactful.

The ceremony was impeccably organised, and the trustees and event team were widely praised for delivering a ceremony that was both heartfelt and memorable. The atmosphere reflected the Trust’s ongoing commitment to celebrating those who make a difference.
